Indigenous Engagement

KCU’s focus is on engaging with the Indigenous local community and traditional owner groups to
create employment and training opportunities for local Indigenous people and procurement
opportunities for traditional owner businesses

Through the KCU Indigenous Engagement Program, we actively support higher Indigenous workforce
participation, increased training and improved career outcomes for all Indigenous people and
traditional owner groups.

KCU has a track history of supporting our Aboriginal employees with career and personal development
centred on a holistic approach which has led to sustainable retention and ongoing employment
opportunities across the entire scope of our operations.

We have established partnerships with the following organisations who assist in our endeavours:

• Karlayura (100% Aboriginal owned Nyiyaparli and Banyjima) - Recruitment and Training
• Dandjoo Services (100% Aboriginal owned) - Recruitment and Training
• Pilbara Aboriginal Trusts through our partnerships with the above listed organisations.
• Telethon Kids Institute - Charity Partnership
• Working in the most remote and hard to reach parts of the Pilbara providing vital health services to Aboriginal children to address serious health issues
